This is a camper’s dream come true! Introducing… GLAMPING! If you’re traditional camping, you’re typically taking a tent to a remote location and creating your own makeshift shelter to truly enjoy nature. Just you, your sleeping bag and a tent. While glamping, you’re still enjoying all that nature has to offer, but you don’t necessarily want to part with that cozy, homey vibe alongside with the luxury of having running water and flushing toilets. Well, this experience surely redefined the way we choose to bond with nature. In a word — AMAZING! This is our review of Under Canvas Moab.

When you first drive up to the property, you are led into a dirt road with almost no signage…. I LOVE IT! Generally, when there is no signage from the main road on where to go, that can only mean a good thing! It screams “privacy!”. 😉

The reception sits on a uniquely shaped large tent that almost resembles the look of three big adjoining tipi’s.  As you check in, their amazing staff greets you warmly and gives you a DETAILED rundown of how the facilities work including the operation of their unique built-in tap & showers in their tents. More on that later…

Just like any other hotel, their reception area is also equipped with a mini gift shop where you can shop and pick up some unique items.

There is also something for the whole family to enjoy in this place, including some vintage collections of board games. Your kids will love it! Toss out “boredom” off the list! 😂

Onto the most amazing part…their luxury tents! As you unzip that canvas door and enter your own “suite”, immediately, you are welcomed by the biggest king size bed there is alongside with the most comfortable & softest mattress we’ve ever slept on!

Now here’s something you don’t normally see inside a tent…. your very own private bathroom! Equipped with their ingenious designs of a tap & shower, their water system is meant to be eco friendly. It’s simple… you pull the chain handle in the shower and out comes the warm water (already well balanced for hot & cold by the way!), then once you let go of the chain, the water immediately stops! Hence, saving unnecessary running water while you soap & bubble away! 😉

And yes, the kids get their own private little “tipi” tent with 2 single beds for comfort. No need to fight over who gets which side! 😅

NOTE:  Not all tents are equipped with a built-in private bathroom. If you want to experience more affordable, traditional camping with some convenient options and shared bathrooms close-by, perhaps you can book one of those other regular safari tents.

As the sun falls, don’t forget to look over the horizon for some spectacular sunset shows, courtesy of mother nature! 😍

And as you do some star gazing at night, it’s time to light that fire pit (which staff will happily do for you), grab all the SMORE’S kits as you want and start roasting ’em marshmallows! Oh and the SMORE’S kits are FREE of charge from the reception tent! 😉

All in all, we had a BLAST staying at Under Canvas Moab! This experience in itself is so unique and we think that everyone should try it! It will redefine the way you think about how the words “camping” and “luxury” can truly go together! 5 stars ★★★★★ in our books!! 😊
